ITM University Gwalior — NAAC Grade A accreditedTechUtsav1.0

so, what is it?

Three days. The whole campus turns into one big build room.

TechUtsav 1.0 is ITM University Gwalior's technology festival, run by its student clubs. Race a three-round code lock against the clock, rebuild a broken system with no source code, catch a phishing attempt in a safe simulation, escape a locked lab in 20 minutes, squad up for BGMI — or open your first real pull request with MLH.

before you ask

Questions, answered.

Can't find it here? Each event's coordinators are listed below and on its own page.

When and where is TechUtsav 1.0?

October 14–16, 2026 (Wednesday to Friday) at ITM University, Gwalior. Each event page lists its own time and, where announced, its lab or room.

How do I register?

Competitive events except Hacktoberfest use the ITM University Parakh registration and payment page. Hacktoberfest Hack Day is registered on MLH only. Jashn-e-Andaaz (Theme Day) uses its own free Google Form. Each event page shows the correct button and QR code.

Does scanning the QR code mean I am registered?

No. The QR code and the button only open the registration page. Your registration is complete after you finish the form — and the payment, for paid events — on that page.

Is Hacktoberfest Hack Day free?

Yes. The rulebook states the event is free to attend and conducted entirely in person. Registration happens on MLH, not on the Parakh payment page.

Can students from other universities take part?

Hacktoberfest Hack Day is open to all university students, ITM and beyond. The Elite Arena rulebook admits registered students with a valid ID card of any university, and the Re-InnovateX poster says it is open for all. For other events, check with the event coordinators.

Can I join more than one event?

Several events run at the same time on purpose, so compare timings on the schedule before you register for more than one.

I am new to open source. Can I join Hacktoberfest?

Yes. The Hack Day is beginner friendly, welcomes all domains and needs no prior open-source experience.

Do I need to register for Jashn-e-Andaaz (Theme Day)?

Yes. Jashn-e-Andaaz is free and open for all School students and faculty members. Register on the Google Form from the event page — the button and QR open the same form, and you are registered once you submit it. Then come to MG Block at 1 PM on October 15 dressed for Traditional (States of India), or on October 16 for Twinning, where you match a friend, teacher or group. Best dressed wins. For more information, contact student coordinators Sahil Manjhi (+91 8080584135) or Vishal Goyal (+91 9691747036).

Where can I read the rules?

Every competitive event has a rulebook on the Rulebooks page. Each one can be downloaded as a PDF or printed, and the Complete Rulebook has all seven in one file.
