the brief

What it is

Build in the Box is a team-based development challenge where participants are given a problem, a fixed set of resources, requirements and restrictions, and must build a working solution within the time limit.

The challenge is delivered through an animated Mission Dashboard that acts as the team's digital “Build Box”. It tests development skills, problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, time management and the ability to work within constraints.

the format

How it works

  1. Mission Dashboard

    All teams receive the same challenge at the same time. The mission stays locked until the official start.

  2. Basic and Advanced levels

    The event may offer Basic and Advanced versions so participants with different experience can compete fairly.

  3. GitHub submission

    Submit one repository with complete source code and a README before the deadline.

  4. Evaluation

    Functionality 30%, Technical Implementation 25%, Requirement Fulfilment 20%, Creativity & Innovation 15%, UI/UX & Presentation 10%.
